Job Description This position is for a highly motivated self-starter, who will assist in the Production/Technical Department. The general factory worker is responsible for decanting and packaging products, assisting in the loading/un-loading of trucks and shipping containers. Job Details / Responsibilities · Decanting of Products from Bulk Storage into Smaller Package Sizes · Filling out Daily Activity Sheets and ensuring decanted products are recorded and initialed by the Operations Assistant. · Liaising with the Chemist/Quality Assurance Officer to ensure that all Products are manufactured to the exacting Quality Standards, which are required. · Packing of Shelves with Finished Products · At times, washing of Bulk Storage Containers (Drums / IBCs / Pails) - Bulk Storage Containers must be Free, Rinsed with Soft Water and all existing old Labels must be removed · Containment/Neutralization/Cleaning of all Leakages and Spillages of all Finished Goods must be done immediately · Housekeeping of the Factory – ensure that these areas are kept clean and in an organized manner · To be involved in Stocktaking Functions at Month-end or other such frequency as may be required · Assist with the preparation of Finished Products for Export including Crating of Pallets and loading of finished Goods into Containers · Utilization of Filling Line for various package size and products and cleaning of Filling Line after use when required · Assisting with weekly production plans for consumer packaging and implementing same. · Ensure that packaged products are of the required quality standard including; bottles labeled and capped properly, correct batch numbers neatly written, quantity of bottles per box correctly checked and neatly packed, cases properly sealed and packed onto pallets etc. · Record and report occurrence of any wastage of product, packaging materials etc.
