JOB DESCRIPTION
The Quality Assurance Clerk is responsible for establishing procedures and quality standards for workstations and inventory storage areas for the purpose of job execution. The individual works collaboratively with the Quality Control Coordinators, Inventory Officer, and all cleaning technicians responsible for ordering or maintaining cleaning products, tools, and equipment in all locations where they are stored. This individual is responsible for ensuring all stock items are properly labeled and inventory cupboards are equipped with products, tools, and equipment in workable conditions and aligned with the scope of work to ensure services are executed professionally and efficiently.
The Quality Assurance Clerk is responsible for ensuring routine, preventative, and scheduled maintenance cards are updated and align to invoices and receipts in the Accounts Department.
JOB DUTIES
The primary responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Clerk include:
1. Assist inventory Officer with the day-to-day coordination of inventory for building and cleaning and floor care maintenance services at all locations.
2. Ensure quality standards are maintained by the use of cleaning products, brooms, mops, and wiping cloths used by technicians for execution.
3. Ensure all bottles and containers are labeled and instructions for use are clearly defined.
4. Assist the inventory officer in ensuring duplicate products for the same use are rotated for use by cleaning technicians.
5. Monitor and evaluate the use of cleaning products by providing timely updates to Inventory Officer so Inventory Officer can provide Directors with timely feedback for re-ordering.
6. Assist Quality Control Coordinators in providing mentoring and on-the-job training on the efficient use of cleaning products and tools stored at the various locations or requested from Inventory.
7. Assist walk-in customers with inquiries on cleaning products, tools, and equipment.
8. Develop functional relationships with all cleaning technicians, supervisors, and administrative support personnel.
9. Assist in the development, and recommendation for corrective and preventative action on processes and procedures for quality assurance measures.
10. Assist Receptionist and Accounts Clerk when applicable.
11. Contribute to improving productivity at reduced operational costs.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Proven knowledge and understanding the required use of all company equipment, tools, protective clothing, cleaning solutions and compounds required for fulfilment of requests for generals, post-construction cleaning, deep cleaning and related cleaning services.
Proficiency in Microsoft office, specifically Excel and Word.
Ability to oversee and supervise technical staff when on jobs, special projects or generals.
Ability to manage and schedule employees for daily cleaning services, generals, projects and one-time jobs.
Ability to understand all floor types, wall partitions, glass partition, furniture and furnishings in making recommendation for cleaning equipment, tools, solutions and compounds.
Must be intrinsically motivated, adaptable to changing priorities and maintain a positive attitude.
Must be a team player and assist in maintaining a positive atmosphere between teams.
Technical ability and basic knowledge of assembling equipment and tools.
Acute attention to detail, and ability to analyze and solve problems creatively and independently.
Ability to thrive in a deadline driven environment and handle different tasks in an organized and efficient manner.
Act as a catalyst for change and ensure ongoing compliance with quality.
Formulating methods that will improve productivity within limited costs.
Overall responsibility for all technical staff.
Ideal attributes
An Associate degree, CVQ or equivalent in-office procedures, business studies, or management.
Should possess a vehicle to receive traveling and vehicle maintenance allowance of $500.00 and $100.00 respectively.
Take ownership attitude with customer focus, and must be cost control focused.
Ability to understand the various cleaning jobs executed at Lewis Industries and what products and tools are required to execute them.
An eye for detail.
Expected to work extended hours as per constructs of the job.
Desire to improve processes, procedures, and personal performance.
Proficiency in Microsoft office applications.
Must be trust worthy and reliable.
