Source: Connective Pros A reputable client of Connective Pros is seeking an On-Call IT Technician to manage customers' IT infrastructure, and troubleshoot network, hardware, and software issues. The IT Technician will be required to install, maintain, diagnose and resolve end-user inquiries and service requests related to the operation and use of desktops, laptops, printers, operating systems, mobile devices and related IT systems and network infrastructure. In addition to technical competence, the IT Technician must also possess interpersonal and communication skills to work with end-users to resolve outstanding issues. EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Diploma in IT or similar qualification. A+ or similar certification would be an asset Network+ would be an asset. Must own reliable Vehicle Experience installing Operating Systems Experience Managing Windows Server Environment KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Completes maintenance and troubleshooting of PCs, POS, Servers, LANs, WANs, and real-time software applications. Must ensure the deployment of all relevant software, appropriate security patches, hotfixes, and required software updates. Responsible for implementing licenses for specific software applications. Ensures all documentation is kept up to date on a regular basis i.e. all applications, systems and IT equipment.. Respond to all end-user customer requests and update Supervisor on work completed Keeps abreast of all IT-related trends and researches innovative ideas that can be implemented to improve the operations of the department. Performs any other duties as required by Management/Supervisor in the interest of achieving the Company’s goals and objectives.
